Americana @ Brand, Los Angeles CA
It appears to be just a low key, inconspicuous background music system. I worked with a light pole manufacturer to conceal loudspeakers, stone workers to conceal subwoofers in the fountain pedestals, and collaborated with the amazing WET Designs (who also designed the iconic Bellagio fountains), to sync full range audio with their showtime fountain show
When the show is not going on, the distributed system plays low level background music throughout the grounds. When the fountain show begins, the audio levels are boosted by 6dB, and taking advantange of the psychoacoustic phenomena known as the Haas/Precidence Effect, the music is delayed to distant loudspeakers, which fools the brain in localizing sound on the fountain.

R2 Gate, Dallas TX
